BMW cars can be very reliable, especially when properly maintained. Performing regular maintenance on your BMW will help minimize repair costs.
The days of the full-service gas station are gone, and modern cars can go 30,000 miles or more without a tune-up. So it's up to you to bring your car to a shop that will check the little things before they become big, expensive problems.
Simple monthly checks will alert you to potential problems that can be dealt with before you get stranded or end up paying for expensive auto repairs. Bring your car to Bavarian Master Care for a regular check up.
Hydraulic oils such as: power steering, brake fluid, transmission fluid, differential fluid and more MUST be at certain specifications for viscosity and liquid type (petroleum vs. mineral vs. synthetic). Hence, it's critical that the correct products are added to your BMW.
Oil: Oil expands when it's hot and contracts when it's cold so different temperatures give different readings. We check the engine oil every time a car comes in for service.
Brake Fluid: We check the brake fluid when we check all the other fluids. It's easy to do and only takes a minute, but is often overlooked.
Coolant: Radiator fluid, or coolant, is the most important part of your BMW's cooling system, which protects your engine from overheating. Low coolant can lead to a breakdown and expensive repairs.
Power Steering Fluid: Almost all BMWs have power steering. The power steering system on your car operates under high pressure, making leaks a common problem, so keeping an eye on the fluid level will extend the life of your BMW.
Automatic Transmission Fluid: Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) should be checked every month or whenever the transmission isn't shifting smoothly.
Hydraulic Clutch Fluid (if applicable): Cars with manual transmissions (stick shift) use either hydraulics (which use fluid) or a cable to connect the clutch pedal to the transmission. If your BMW has a hydraulic clutch, the fluid should be checked monthly to ensure that it's full and there aren't any leaks.
BMW Hoses: Old radiator hoses or loose clamps can cause a coolant leak, which will lead to overheating and expensive repairs. Check hoses periodically and replace them if they're aged or leaking.
BMW Belts: If your belts make a horrible shrieking sound when you press on the gas pedal, they are too loose and probably need to be tightened or replaced.
A broken belt is painful to the wallet - it can cost much more than just the price of a new belt. Having your belts checked out from time to time and changing all the belts periodically can help you avoid major repair bills.
Except for gasoline and windshield wiper fluid, the fluids in your BMW should not get used up or go anywhere. If you notice that any are low, there's a good possibility of a leak.
Your BMW should provide you with many years of trouble-free driving and you should be able to avoid breakdowns and some of the avoidable major repairs so long as regular maintenance is performed.
These are the most common BMW regular maintenance products: Brake Fluid, Motor Oil, Coolant & Purified Water, Automatic Transmission Fluid, Windshield Washer Fluid, Fuses, Bulbs, Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, Oxygen Sensor, Oil Filter, Air Filter, PCV Breather Filter, Fuel Filter, Transmission Filter, Vacuum Hoses, Temperature Sensors, Lubricants, Coolant Hoses.
You guys exceeded my expectations! Great prices and friendly service, I trust you to take car of my five classic cars which include a Porsche, a BMW and a Mini.
You have always given me fair prices, and the quality of the repairs has always been excellent as well. If it were not for you, we would have bought a new car by now, but instead we are much happier using the one that we already have. We did not want a second car payment!

I wanted to tell you guys that I have been very happy with the prices and the quality of service that you have provided. Most of the repairs are done more quickly and for much less money than at my local dealer. Most of all, I feel very comfortable bringing my car to Bavarian Master Care because I get to deal with the same people every time.
It is not easy to find a mechanic that you can trust, but I finally have. Thank you for keeping my car running and for always giving me the best advice about what repairs and maintenance to perform!
